Aqua:
Like most creams, this is a water based product. An emulsion is created to blend the water and oils together into a light, gentle, easily absorbed, nourishing cream.

Tasmanian Kunzea Ambigua essential oil:
Tasmanian Kunzea Ambigua essential oil is the key ingredient in all of our Kunzea Tasmania products. This incredible, natural oil has been recognised for its unique properties and ability to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. See more details about Kunzea oil on our Kunzea FAQs page.

Sweet almond oil:
This highly nourishing cold pressed oil softens and re-conditions the skin. It is high in proteins and vitamins such as E and D. It is rich in essential fatty acids and is known to be highly soothing for irritated or dry skin. Sweet almond oil is light and easily absorbed.

Grapeseed oil: This gentle, lightweight, cold pressed oil is rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E. It absorbs well and has antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Grapeseed oil is a great skin balancing oil, that can assist wound healing and problem skin.

Emulsify, thicken, stabilise...
Water and oils don't mix on their own. Cetearyl alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate and Ceteareth-20 are all ingredients included in very small amounts in this cream to help keep the oil and water mixed (emulsify); to thicken the cream; and to stabilise it so it doesn't separate. All of these ingredients are safe and used regularly in many cosmetic products.

Glycerine:
In products such as our Kunzea cream, natural glycerine is used as a humectant. This helps to draw moisture into the skin - therefore assisting the cream to be absorbed.

Preservation:
Bacteria, mould, fungus and other nasties grow when they have access to water. Like almost all creams, it is necessary to include a tiny amount of preservatives to ensure it is safe to use and to keep those nasty intruders away. Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin work together to ensure that germs don't grow in the cream.
